Highlights from Year One and Two

This week the Year 1 children have been continuing to learn about materials. They have applied their knowledge of materials and used this to create their own bridges. They have used different resources around the classroom. They have also been exploing poetry are creating their own shape poems about a troll!

For the last few weeks, the children in Year 2 have been learning to sew, a past time that was very popular during Mary Seacole’s lifetime when they didn’t have televisions or gadgets. The children experimented with using plastic canvas and binca and using a variety of stitches, the most popular of which was running stitch.
