Tracey has been a resident of Slough all of her life and is very passionate about ensuring children in the town, receive the best opportunities. She originally trained in IT, qualifying in Business Information Technology. However, she soon realised, that office work was not the career for her. She retrained as a teacher, undertaking a Batchelor of Education at the University of Reading, specialising as a Technology teacher. For 15 years, she worked at a Primary School in Slough, holding a variety of different responsibilities, including developing: ICT, PE, Gifted & Talented and Extended Schools. She was appointed as Headteacher of The Langley Academy Primary in May 2014, officially starting September.
Tracey is also a qualified roller skate coach and has led roller-discos and coached non-skaters. She has also held the post of secretary for the National Governing Body. Nowadays, she simply enjoys skating for fun.
Tracey is married, and has two daughters.
