In her role as Deputy Headteacher, Grace enjoys working with the children who attend The Langley Academy Primary.

 

She is particularly interested in the Museum Learning in our curriculum and the ways children can access the curriculum through hands-on, real-life experiences. Grace is originally from Lancashire and moved into the area to study English and Drama at Royal Holloway University of London. After completing her Masters in Shakespeare she undertook the Graduate Teacher Training Programme in Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

 

To relax, Grace enjoys going to the theatre and reading.

Laura is originally from Dorset and moved into the area to complete her PGCE in Primary Teaching at Kingston University. She has enjoyed teaching in Key Stage 1 and 2 but has a particular enthusiasm and passion for Early Years education.


Laura has taught in Buckinghamshire for the last 8 years and is excited to be joining The Langley Academy Primary as Assistant Headteacher of Early Years in September. She strives to ensure all children in the provision of her care are happy, motivated, confident enthusiastic learners.

Laura is committed to ensuring that every child is provided with a wealth of opportunities and positive experiences during their time spent learning in Early Years.

 

Outside of work, Laura enjoys running, sipping tea, reading and trying to cook using new recipes.

Maisie is incredibly excited to start her journey as a teacher at the Langley Academy Primary. She will become the new nursery teacher as of September 2017, having recently graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA Honorary degree in Primary Education. She is looking forward to using what she has learned to help her pupils to flourish and succeed within their early education.

Catherine is originally from Ireland. She recently graduated from Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland where she completed her Bachelor of Education degree with a specialist in disadvantaged education.


She has a passion for travelling and has spent the past three summers teaching English in Italy and Austria.


Catherine is really excited about joining The Langley Academy Primary and is looking forward to working with and supporting the children as they grow and learn throughout the year.

Jo has lived in High Wycombe all her life. Jo had a real passion for understanding how children learn and develop independently in Early Years and completed her BA Degree in Early Years Education at Buckinghamshire New University.


Jo was excited to join The Langley Academy Primary at the beginning of their journey in 2015. Jo believes the learning environment should be a fun and exciting experience that encourages children to independently explore different ways to solve problems. She believes risk taking allows children to grow, promoting their resilience and confidence, which enables them to learn about the world around them.


Jo is married and lives with her husband, daughter, son and dog Beau. She also has pet snakes and marine fish.

Renice was born and raised in Slough but moved to Birmingham for 5 years to complete a degree in Psychology with Drama and then complete her Post-Graduate Certificate of Education. She has always enjoyed working with children in Special Educational Needs and gained experience in SEN teaching by working with the Childline School Service as well as teaching in a Special Needs school for pupils with Multiple and Profound Learning Difficulties.

 

Renice joined TLAP in January 2016 and has worked in Reception ever since. She is committed to providing an outstanding education to all children and thoroughly enjoys the child-centred approach at TLAP.

 

Renice is excited to be progressing in her career and taking the role of SENDCO from September 2018.On those rare occasions where Renice finds spare time, she enjoys reading and going to the theatre.

Jenny is beginning her sixth year of teaching and is looking forward to teaching in Year One again and continuing her journey at TLAP. She undertook a degree in Primary Education at St. Mary’s University in Twickenham and the completed the Graduate Teacher Programme in Windsor. She loves teaching ‘Talk for Writing’ and bringing stories to life. She relishes in watching children grow in confidence to be the best that they can be.


She enjoys the dramatics, singing and performing in musical theatre productions.

Nicole grew up in the town of Fremantle in Western Australia where she studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2016 at the University of Notre Dame Australia. In February she moved to England to broaden her experiences working in education as a newly qualified teacher and to experience life in England. Soon after moving Nicole took over the role as a Reception Teacher at a Primary School in Reading. This year she will be joining the Year One team.


Nicole has always had a passion for working with children and prior to graduating she worked as a swimming instructor, a nanny to two young boys and coached teams in water polo and netball. She loves being outdoors and keeping active.


Nicole is really excited to be a part of the team at The Langley Academy Primary and can’t wait to begin a fun year of learning and discovering with the children.

Rob Geer - Year One Teacher

Rob has lived in Slough all his life, apart from his 4 years at University studying Drama. For the past 6 years he has worked within primary schools, firstly completing the GTP course and then becoming a class teacher based in Reception. Rob has a real passion for learning through play and a practical approach to learning.


Rob is recently engaged and lives with his partner Alexandra, and their two cats: Hercules and Titch. He is a keen sportsman and likes to play a range of sports, and supports Fulham FC, where he has a season ticket. Rob also likes to perform on stage and is currently in rehearsals for a pantomime this Christmas.


Rob is excited by the prospects of the year ahead and is looking forward to another brilliant year at school.

Davina has lived in Langley for the past 20 years, almost as long as she’s been a teacher. She has been working for the Trust since 2013, firstly at Parlaunt Park Primary moving to The Langley Academy Primary last year. She enjoys teaching children of all ages and loves that ‘lightbulb’ moment when children realise they can achieve something independently.


Davina lives with her husband and two children, who both attend The Langley Academy. In her spare time, she helps run a local Brownie pack and bakes cakes for relaxation using the eggs from her chickens, Mabel and Mildred.


Davina feels that she learns as much from the children as they do from her and looks forward to continuing her learning journey at TLAP.

Reena recently got married in Summer and has moved from Surrey to Hounslow to live with her husband. She is currently in her fourth year of teaching and has lead English and Art, Music & Drama in her previous schools. She has lots of experience with working in KS1.


Reena is passionate about encouraging children to reach their full potential and particularly enjoys teaching English and Art. In her spare time, Reena enjoys shopping, as well as painting her nails and drawing pictures whenever she has the chance!


Reena is incredibly excited and enthusiastic about joining The Langley Academy Primary and is looking forward to getting to know the children and community.

Daisy has just moved back to the area after living in Manchester for the past three years whilst studying for her degree in Primary Education. Daisy is passionate about personalised learning and igniting a love of learning in all children.

 

She is very excited to be starting her career at The Langley Academy Primary. In her spare time Daisy enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as running a local charity for disabled children.

Roxane is originally from Iran and lived there until she was fourteen. She then moved to England to continue her studies. Roxane has always had great interest in the human mind and its functions hence why she studied Psychology at Brunel University. While completing her degree, she found a passion for child development so she went on to work as a Teaching Assistant after graduating in 2015.


After working at a school in Harrow and a Special Needs school in Slough, she joined The Langley Academy Primary as a trainee teacher and is currently in her final year of training.
Roxane is looking forward to the journey ahead of her at the Langley Academy Primary and is excited about contributing to the invaluable learning that takes place every day and seeing the children grow.

Katherine studied English Literature and Philosophy at Cardiff University, followed by a Post-Graduate diploma in Social Work. After a short time working in both children's disability and child protection teams Katherine moved into the world of primary school education, where she is hugely enjoying being part of the Langley Academy Primary School.

 

Katherine is particularly interested in working to support children's emotional wellbeing and sense of self in order that they develop into resilient and self-confident young adults.

 

Katherine enjoys reading, gardening and painting but has this year challenged herself to learn how to run!

Reem has started her Learning Support Assistant journey just this year and is extremely excited to be a part of Langley Academy Primary. She believes that all children have various talents and skills and it's important to celebrate them. She motivates children to help them be more confident in their everyday learning journeys.


Reem is married and has two young children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and baking with them.

She has a special interest in working with children with special educational needs and is passionate about supporting maths and geography.


After studying Social Policy and Sociology at the University of Birmingham she intends to gain school based and go onto do her PGCE.

Rukaiya has been working with children for 7 years, in particular working with special needs children in various schools in London.


Rukaiya joined The Langley Academy Primary in September 2016 in Year One and feels honoured to be part of a friendly school. Rukaiya will be working in Braille class and is looking forward to supporting children and seeing children independently take control of their learning.


In her spare time Rukaiya does boxing, zumba, and cooking.

Suad has lived in Slough for most of her adult life. She attended Kingston University and studied Primary Teaching. Before that, she worked at Heathrow airport for 10 years. Her hobbies include: travelling, swimming and cooking.

 

She enjoys motivating children and sets high expectations, as she believes children learn best when they are expected to succeed.

Nita enjoys the atmosphere and ethos at The Langley Academy Primary. She has been working in education for 18 years and spent seven years supporting special educational needs.


She finds working and supporting children exciting and rewarding and she particularly enjoys seeing the development in children and their increasing independence and confidence.

Stacey is extremely happy to be a part of the Langley Academy Primary team as a Learning Support Assistant. She is a qualified Early Years Practitioner with 4 years' experience in Early years having previously worked as a Nursery Room Leader.

 

She is very passionate about early years and believes in the importance of child-led learning. Stacey has a child of her own and knows how important it is to bring a positive, secure and nurturing environment for children to thrive.

Zara has worked as a Nursery Nurse and in a variety of different schools. Zara has an NVQ level 3 and studied in East Berkshire College.

Elizabeth started working within the early years as a nursery nurse and has continued to work in the early years foundation stage for the last 7years. Elizabeth's enthusiasm in children's learning led her to study Early Childhood Education at Roehampton University.


She is excited to be part of TLAP team which strives to ensure children achieve in all aspects of their learning and development.


In her spare time, She enjoys cooking, listening to music and going to the gym.

Aleisha is currently doing an apprenticeship, completing her Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning. She is very excited to start working in Year 2 after being in Reception and
looks forward to gaining experience and skills within KS1, so she can continue to study and have a career in teaching.

 

In her free-time she enjoys eating and sleeping as much as possible! She also enjoys shopping and eating out with friends

Shannon has lived in Burnham for most of her life, she's just completed her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and is looking forward to working at Langley Acdemy Primary. Shannon currently coaches football at the weekend and has played football herself from the age of 8 to the age of 16, winning many trophies with Maidenhead Girls. Alongside her passion for sports she's looking forward to enriching the lives of children at LAP.

 

Shannon has always wanted to work with young children since she was inspired by her inspirational PE teacher in Primary School.

Jane has lived in Slough all her life where she attended St Bernard’s Convent School in Langley. She has worked in two other primary schools, as well as the role of Office Manager in a local secondary school. She has undertaken a variety of secretarial roles for Thames Valley Police, Nationwide Building Society, Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service and the NHS. Jane also worked as an Ofsted registered childminder for four years.


The staff at The Langley Academy Primary are a dedicated, hard-working and supportive group of people that she is proud to say she is part of. Jane has worked at TLAP since we opened in September 2015 and sees the role as an exciting and challenging opportunity and one that she feels privileged to be offered.


Jane’s three children keep her busy with lots of her weekends spent standing on the touch-line of a football or rugby pitch. She enjoys cycling with her family, reading and spending time with friends, but is happiest when away camping, hopefully somewhere sunny, near the sea!

As part of the office team, Sarah is very happy to be a member of staff at The Langley Academy Primary. She has never worked at a school before and is very much enjoying the experience. Sarah loves bumping into the children in the corridors and sitting and chatting to them at Lunchtime, getting to know them individually. Sarah has lived in Langley for the last 10 years. She lives with her two children, her fiancé and her pet cat ‘Snuggles’.


Sarah enjoys family days out, reading and swimming.

Geeta is extremely proud to be a part of the Langley Academy Primary team as a Learning Support Assistant. She is a qualified Early Years Practitioner with over 9 years’ experience in Early Years. She is a big believer in letting children take the lead in their play and loves being a part of their adventures.

 

With her bubbly and happy personality she is able to make each child feel special and give them the support they need to thrive, she encourages them to take risks and learn something new.

 

Geeta has two young children of her own and knows how important it is to make sure each day brings a positive experience and helps to make sure that every day counts!

Charmaine has worked within early years for the last fifteen years, initially as a nursery nurse and then as a registered childminder. Charmaine went on to study Contemporary Education at Brunel University and gained valuable experience at Parlaunt Park Primary Academy where she worked in the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as Key Stages one and two.

 

Charmaine is very excited to be part of the Langley Academy Primary team and is eager to support all the children in their individual and unique learning journeys.

 

Charmaine has recently trained as a HomeStart volunteer to help vulnerable families. In her spare time, Charmaine enjoys spending quality time with her three children.
