At the end of last week Mr Hill took a group out for a fire lighting and cooking session for some of the Year 5 students in our outdoor learning environment. We the started this week with a visitor who brought in some exotic animals from the rainforest for us to have a feel of and look at, including a giant land snail. In Maths we have moved on to working on addition and subtraction so look out for a flipped classrooms demonstrating column     addition and subtraction. In English we are building up to our big write focussing on a scene from The Jungle Book

Year 6 continue to cope very well with challenging times and a slightly altered routine. This week they have studied the countries and capitals of Europe and North America. They continue their work looking at the classification of living things in Science and were set the task of creating their own animals following these rules. They have been very creative and there certainly are some very interesting mammals!
