Nursery Highlights

Nursery have continued with their text The Smartest Giant in Town. We are so impressed with how well the children know the story and they are great at joining in, when it is being read to them. We have enjoyed making giant ties for our giraffe, a boat, with a shirt for a sail and comparing giant footprints to our own. For Maths we have been doing actions to a certain number, and we have to ensure that we stop at the correct number. The children are moving on with their sounds in phonics, and lots of children are taking what they have learnt into their free flow. Some children are writing the sounds they know and some are recognising the sounds in books and signs around the classroom, which is fantastic! It is also nice to hear that some are also teaching their parents phonics at home!!
