This week has been an exciting week in Year 3. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the children went on trip to the Reading Museum and got to experience what it was like for children in the Victorian era. The children got to try on replicas of Victorian clothing that school children and servants would have worn, handle Victorian objects that the servants would have used as well as experience what it would be like to be in a school in that era – writing with slate and dip pens.

The children in Year 4 started this week off with a great trip to Ufton Court, where they took part in activities to help support their learning of the Egyptians. All the children experienced the process of mummification, played ancient Egyptian games (some
that the children already knew!) and learnt how the Egyptians punished criminals! Also, this week, the children have completed their graphic novels in English and are looking forward to starting poetry.
