Year Three and Four Highlights

This week in Year 3 we have had another busy week. We are coming to the end of our first fraction topic and the children in English have been learning more about playscripts about how we need to focus on the layout of them. On Wednesday, the children had an Art Discovery Day learning about Elizabeth Catlett and how she created her art using lino stamping. The children also took part in a Science workshop, looking at light waves and how light can be manipulated.

This week in Maths, Year 4 have continued learning about decimals using place value charts. They have also been practicing their times tables, getting ready for the Time table challenge. In Talk for Writing, the children have been learning all about Marcus Rashford and understanding the structure of writing a persuasive speech about ' How to be the best you can be'. Science has been fun with lessons filled with learning about Sound and how sound travels. The children are excited about the kick start to their new free flow projects and look forward to showing it off at the end of term!
