Reception HIghlights

This week in Reception we have been continuing to look at the story ‘The Lion inside.’ We have learnt about how we can tell the difference between a Carnivore and a Herbivore. We have been choosing a different animal we want in the story and using descriptive language to describe them, such as a ‘big wet hippo’. We also came across a lost Koala in the corridor, and we tried to work out what it was doing there. Some children thought it was lost, some thought it wanted to come to school to learn and others thought it was looking for lots of leaves to eat! Look out for him if you walk through the school! In Maths, we have been consolidation our knowledge of numbers up to 5, playing a range of counting games and working out the composition of the number 5.
