Welcome to The Langley Academy Primary!

The Langley Academy primary opened to pupils in September 2015. As part of The Langley Academy Trust, we offer children A School of Choice – A School for Life. Our pupils are at the heart of all we do. We are committed to providing an outstanding educational experience for every child by offering a holistic, broad and balanced, child-centred curriculum. Our calm but vibrant environment, is helping to develop confident, reflective, resilient, happy young people equipped with the skills to enable them to become the best they can be, and succeed at anything they put their mind to. We are creating independent, life-long learners.

Our Provision

The Langley Academy Primary opened to 90 Reception pupils and their parents on 7th September 2015. Since our first day, we have worked in collaboration with parents to ensure the children are given the best possible learning opportunities. Children are encouraged to follow their own lines of enquiry on a day to day basis, through Curiosity, Exploration and Discovery.  This is further aided by staff’s commitment to follow ‘in the moment planning’. Visitors often comment on how confident our children are. Our first year was a huge success and the children’s academic attainment exceeded national averages. We look forward to enabling all of our children to succeed each year and become the ‘best they can be’, in our purpose built school.

From a Headteacher’s point of view, after devoting an inordinate amount of time to intense planning and rigorous Government scrutiny, and more importantly spending time with parents, our  first year has given us the perfect start.   It is great to see that our attention to detail has enabled the pupils to achieve so well and we will continue to build on this throughout their time with us.

September 2016 has seen our new school come to life in our new building. We have welcomed our existing families as well as the new pupils who have joined us in Year 1, Reception and Nursery: Our community is growing and has over doubled in size. I look forward to working with you as our journey continues.

Our Permanent Building (August 2016) Live view

In August we were able to move in to our permanent building which is designed for 21st Century learning. We are grateful to the building contractors (Bouygues UK) and the relevant Government agencies to enable us to move in, ahead of schedule. Children are amazed at the new school, one Year 1 pupil said “… This building is so amazing, it is going to make my head explode!” Parents have also been impressed and respond positively to the learning environment it creates. We are keen to show you around!
