In Year 5 this week, the children have been planning their own Sci-Fi stories with assistance of their devices. In Maths, the children have started to learn all about fractions, knowing what unit and non-unit fractions are and identifying equivalent fractions through the use of bar models and number lines. In PSHE, the children have explored ways to maintain safe, healthy online relationships, as well as the differences between online and offline relationships. Additionally, each class has been introduced to their Christmas songs, both the lyrics and song will be uploaded onto class Teams, so that the children can continue to learn it at home.

This week in Year 6, we have started to prepare our balanced arguments by forming for and against statements to debate the question – “Should children choose the subjects they learn in primary school?”. In Geography, students have used their computer skills to research Jamaica and produce a poster with all they have learnt. It has also been an exciting week in Science as students have been experimenting by using exercise to affect their heart rate and recording the results.
