Year Five and Six Highlights

It’s been a very exciting week in Year 5! On Monday, the children became immersed during an interactive experience where they became the characters within the plays ‘Macbeth’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The children enjoyed taking an active role within their learning of the play and reflect to the visitors their vast prior knowledge of Shakespeare’s plays. Year 5 enjoyed the sound of the Eton’s Brass Band - the children loved listening to a range of music played through the brass tones.

This week in Year 6 we have been continuing our learning about area, perimeter and volume in Maths. In writing, there have been some amazing work in our informal letters where the children have been able to apply their contextual knowledge of the partition of India.
