Year One and Two Highlights

We've had a great week in Year 1. Downing class enjoyed becoming inventors to celebrate Philip Downing's birthday. The children had some great outfits and innovative ideas for their inventions. We've been composing spine poems about rain, inspired by the story 'Umbrella Queen'. We learned about nouns, adjectives and verbs and applied these to our descriptions of rain.

This half term Year 2 have been doing gymnastics in their PE lessons. They have been finding different ways to move around the room and balance, with different parts of their bodies high or low. They have been moving over and around apparatus, balancing and moving on and off in different ways. They have found some very impressive ways and really pushed themselves to try different ideas.
