Year Three and Four Highlights

Another exciting week in Year 3! We started out with Archaeology Day on Monday. Our classes learned about some processes used in archaeology from University of Reading students. We even got to give some a go! In Reading, we worked on our comprehension through vocabulary and retrieval skills practice. In PSHE, we learned about water and fire safety.

It has been an enjoyable week in Year 4 and it all started off with a brilliant workshop, all about the Ancient Romans. The children learnt the story of the Roman Empire and were able to handle lots of artefacts from the Roman period. They even got to fire a model of a Roman Ballista! This has inspired the children to work hard on their own model catapults in DT lessons
