Nursery have continued with their text ‘Giraffes can’t Dance’ and have been looking at different dances from around the world. We have been discussing the costumes they wear and went and looked at the Brazilian carnival costumes we have in school. The children loved all the different colours and feathers and this led to some children making their own costumes during free flow. Nursery are taking part in ‘The Big Toddle’ for the charity Barnardo’s on Friday 16th June. The children are allowed to wear ‘safari’ linked clothes/costumes on that day and we will be walking 1 mile for charity. Please look out for a sponsor form in your child’s bag shortly. Also a polite reminder that if your child attends Nursery just in the afternoon, that the session starts at 12.30pm. Please ensure that you are here for 12.30, as so many children are arriving at least 15 mins late. Thank you.

This week in Reception, the children were inspired by Greta Thunberg to go on a big litter pick to tidy up the school! In Maths, the children are working hard on their numbers up to 20. They also found out a lot about the talents of the adults in Reception and tried some for themselves including henna, golf, cookie decorating, HIIT, bangla, and arts and crafts.
