Year 5 Cricket Tournament

On 4^th May 2023, the Year 5 Sports and Play leaders ran a cricket competition for all of year 5 during their lunch break. In total, we had 49 children take part to represent their house. Each team had 3 minutes in bat, where they had to hit as many balls as possible. For ever hit, they scored 1 point, for hitting a boundary was 2 points, but if they were caught or their stumps were hit, they lost a point. The action was fast paced and all the children that took part were engaged. We had some hard hitters and excellent fielders. After the event, the scores were verified, and the competition ended up having 2 winners. The winning houses were Brilliance and Courage and both have earned 500 house points. Congratulations to them both and to all that took part.
