Nursery- Nursery have finished their text ‘Giraffes can’t Dance’ and enjoyed our Discovery Day learning about the King’s Coronation. We looked at who the new King was, and why he is now King. We watched part of the Queen’s coronation and saw the gold orb, sceptre and the beautiful crown that he will be wearing. We saw West Minster Abbey, where it would be taking place. During free flow we then made and decorated crowns, built thrones using crates, had our own ‘coronation’ and made red, white and blue fruit salad for us all to eat!

Reception- As part of our Talk for Writing Unit in Reception, the children have been learning about urban and rural areas. In doing so, we visited Black Park and observed the differences from things they saw in Langley and Slough hight street compared to things they saw in the Black Park. For maths, the children have been learning about number bonds to 5 and 10 and have been using vari-ous resources to help identify the bonds. For topic, the children have been learning about the Social Activist Greta Thunberg and understanding the im-portance of taking care of our environment.
