Year One and Two Highlights

In Year 1 this week, the children have enjoyed having a visit from our museum learning team, where they were shown a variety of objects from the Victorian times. The children made comparisons between the materials that were used over 100 years ago and learnt about how some of the objects were made. On Friday, the children enjoyed learning about King Charles III and created their own fact files about his life.

Year 2 had the privilege of having Mary Seacole as a visitor. Mary shared stories about the hardships she faced in wanting to be nurse due to the colour of her skin. The children joined in with drama and small role play sketches with Mary and went on her journey to the various countries she visited.
