This week in Year 3, we explored money in Maths. The children used their pretend money to purchase items at the TLAP Shop, which we set up in our classrooms. We have also discussed gender stereotypes in the workplace during PSHE and realised that we can be whatever we want to be, regardless of gender. In English, we planned and wrote our own poetry inspired by figures in the Civil Rights Movement. On Friday, we performed our dances for our families. It’s been a wonderful last week of term!

This week, Year 4 have been exploring lots of aspects of the Hindu faith, from understanding special festivals to their teachings. The children enjoyed learning about all the different Gods and enjoyed a drama-based activity where they were role-playing certain Dharma (Hindu Laws). On Thursday, the children enjoyed celebrated National Africa day, and spent the afternoon revisiting Egypt- located the hidden treasures of the pharaohs!
