Vive la France! We began our week by sampling French cheeses and brioche while we listened to traditional French café music. We learned facts about friends across the English Channel in reading and communicated our knowledge in writing. We started learning our new story map A Walk in Paris. In RE, we discussed how Christians use the arts to express their beliefs. We had a go at creating our own stained glass window designs on tracing paper or on glass.

At the start of the Summer term, Year 4 have been completing many of their Cold tasks for their new topics. In History, the children have begun exploring the Vikings, and how their impact changed Britain. In Science, the children are starting to look at classifications and how to group different animals. They have explored their new text map and recorded actions so that they can remember the story of the Emperor and his New Clothes. In Maths, the children have been comparing values of money and using decimal notation to show different amounts.
