Nursery and Reception Highlights

Nursery- This week the children have started their new text ‘Sunflower shoots and muddy boots’. This book is a non-fiction book and the children have been looking at the differences between these and story books. The children set up a shop in the home corner, where we had a shopkeeper selling food to the customers. The children used money to pay for their items and paper to write down their shopping list and price labels. We have been busy with sports week and it has been great to see how the children have all enjoyed it, participated well and been cheering on their friends. We have counted up the sponsor money from The Big Toddle and Nursery children have raised a phenomenal £646.40! Again, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who sponsored your child, this money will make a huge difference to the Barnardo’s charity.

Reception- Reception we had an exciting Monday morning meeting our new teachers! We also held a party for Eid, organised by our brilliant team. Reception have worked really hard on making flags and banners for Sport’s Week. We especially enjoyed the sack-races and egg and spoon races!
