Year Three and Four Highlights

This week in Year 3, we created our own recounts of Rock Steady coming to visit our school based on our work with ‘A Walk in Paris’. In Maths, we learned about different types of lines and designed our own island maps using different varieties. We started creating menus for our upcoming French café. Some of our students spent the first part of the week at the Kingswood Residential where they learned den building and problem solving and participated in a leap of faith and rock climbing. On Friday, we finished the week off strong with the summer fair.

This week, a third of the Year group spent 3 days at Kingswood Park, where they embarked on an adventure, full of fun and excitement. After a 2-hour coach journey, the children got straight into activities, that included Problem solving, Leap of Faith, Problem solving, Initiative tasks, Shelter building and disco. The children also enjoyed Mini-Olympics in the evening. Meanwhile, the children at TLAP, embarked on a Viking project, where they made superb pictures of Viking Longboats and had a TLAP bake-off, inspired by Viking foods.
