Year Five and Six Highlights

It has been a busy week in Year 5. In English, the children have been passionate about learning their story map. In Geography, the children have started to explore our topic of the rainforest and began to understand the difference between weather and climate. The children used their devices to investigate weather around the world. This helped them to understand how quickly weather changes and how it can vary in different zones.

This week in Year 6 we have continued to explore the hobbit, where we have covered descriptive writing and even creating our own riddles to puzzle the other classes! In PE the children are practicing their dance skills where each class will perform their own song in front of families. In Geography we have been looking at Oceania and the physical/human characteristic of its unique environment.
