This week in Year 3, we have been learning about the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah. We wrote our ‘atonements’ for the year and tried apples with honey. We also learned about the role of a palaeontologist, how to use a computer for research and refreshed our knowledge of the continents and oceans.

The children in Year 4 have enjoyed another week of fun learning. In Maths, the children are showing great use of the devices, in helping solve place value problems. They have also used devices to help gather information about Japan during Geography. In Computing, they have begun to work on designing their robots and have used Scratch to begin to input codes for the robots to follow. Congratulations to Maathai for winning the first Battle of the Bands. It was a close contest with Attenborough, with both classes scoring over 200 points. Carver needs to improve if they want to come close next week!
