Year Three and Four Highlights

This week in Year 3, we rewrote our story map using new characters, items and settings in preparation for our own literary inventions next week. We played Blooket in Maths to show our understanding of adding and subtracting in the 10s column. In History, we learned about why Mary Anning wasn’t accepted in the scientific community during her life. On Wednesday, we had our exciting trip to the Natural History Museum. Children had a blast finding information, discovering fossils and were delighted by an animatronic (and very scary) T Rex.

Year 4 have been learning about the formation of mountains and volcanoes which helped them immensely with their trip to the Natural History Museum. The children enjoyed their trip to the museum as they were able to see the different types of volcanoes, rock formations and even tried out an earthquake simulation! In English, the children have been working hard on planning their non-chronological report on a robot of their choice. In Maths, they applied their skills to working out Roman numerals and rounding to 10 and 100.
