Year One and Two Highlights

In Year 1 we have started a new topic in Science all about carnivores and herbivores. Mrs Holmes came into the class and dressed up as tiger, the children had to think about what kind of food a tiger would eat. The children were able to learn the difference between a carnivore and a herbivore, and the different types of food each category eat. The children made a menu to suit the tiger's diet.

This term, the focus text for Year 2 is ‘Dolphin Boy’ by Michael Morpurgo. For the hook, the children followed instructions to draw a picture of a dolphin. They followed this up by predicting how the story would end.
