It was another busy week in Year 5. The children in DT got to explore a range of different pizzas and used their knowledge to design their own healthy pizza. On Thursday, the children had a visit from the local fire department, they discussed how to keep safe around fire. It was great to see how enthusiastic all the children were and they listened to the visitors and took on the information that was given to them.

It has been an exciting week in Year 6. This has involved learning the structure and function of the heart, followed by a practical experiment where children were able to get hands on and dissect a lamb’s heart. This has not only helped to expand their scientific curiosity but will also be applied to their writing to up level their balanced arguments. In Geography, children are starting to look at maps this term, so it would be amazing if you include them in any navigation you may do, even if is just google maps!
