Year One and Two Highlights

Year One and Two
As this is our final week of the Autumn term, Year 1 have been getting very prepared for the Christmas holidays. We have been decorating our classrooms and have been drawing beautiful Christmas pictures. We have also been focusing on our Big Write which is based on the story The Bear and the Hare where we are writing a story all about the Bear's first Christmas!

In between practising for their Christmas concert on Thursday, writing the innovation for their story map and learning to subtract two 2-digit numbers, Year 2 have also been working hard on their artwork in the style of Paul Klee. This week they have been painting their backdrops using colour wash, cutting out their practise shapes for their boats and planning their final designs.
