Ofsted praises TLAP's inclusive, nurturing and ambitious community
We are delighted that our latest Ofsted inspection has recognised what makes The Langley Academy Primary such a special place to learn, grow and work, a strong sense of family, high expectations, excellent behaviour and a community where every child is known, valued and supported to succeed.
Under Ofsted's new inspection framework, schools no longer receive a single-word overall judgement such as Outstanding or Good. Instead, different areas of school life are assessed individually, giving families a much fuller and richer picture of a school.
TLAP achieved four Strong Standards, three Expected Standards and met all safeguarding standards. A Strong Standard means that we are working above the standard expected.

Our pupils say it best...
Ofsted found that pupils are welcomed into the school family from the moment they arrive, nurtured by staff who know them well and are ambitious for them to succeed. Inspectors described pupils' behaviour as “excellent” and said the school is rooted in “high expectations and warm, nurturing relationships.”

Inspectors described pupils' conduct as "excellent" and highlighted the warm, respectful relationships between children and adults.
For our youngest children, Ofsted described Early Years as "a notable strength", recognising the nurturing environment that enables children to make "an excellent start on their education journey."

The report wasn't only positive about children's experience. Ofsted also recognised the culture we have created for our colleagues:
"Staff are proud to work in this school. They value the professional learning opportunities available to them through the school and the trust."
Inspectors also noted the work of leaders to support staff workload and look after their wellbeing.
