Year 3 & 4: Science, Stories and Spring Poetry
Back
This week, Year 3 have been having fun exploring spring poetry for the upcoming spring concert. In Science, they have been setting up experiments to see the skeletons function and test their theories. In D&T they have been working really hard practising different stitches in preparation for making their fossil bags at the end of the term.
This week in Year 4, the children continued learning our new story map – a non-fiction text about a fiction creature. In Science, the children continued learning about the behaviour of atoms in the different states of matter. They enjoyed seeing this using an online simulation. In History, the children compared the burial traditions of ancient Egypt and Rome. On Thursday, we enjoyed several different activities for World Book Day, including a workshop by Word on the Street.
