Year 3 & 4: Teamwork, Maths Mastery and Exploring the River Nile

Year 3 have continued to work hard across their lessons this term. We are especially proud of the care they are taking with their Maths books, which are looking fantastic and showing a clear structure. In PE, the children have enjoyed developing their ball skills through teamwork, practising throwing, catching, and passing the ball over and under.

This week in History, Year 4 have been exploring why the River Nile flooded and why the annual flooding was so important to the Ancient Egyptians. To bring our learning to life, we took part in a hands-on activity where we created our very own River Nile using soil, water and cress seeds. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck in and watching their rivers develop. It was a fantastic way to explore how the flooding of the Nile helped to make the land fertile and support farming in Ancient Egypt.
