Year Three and Four Highlights

Year 3 have had another busy week. In Maths, we have begun to learn about written methods of multiplication. In English we have focused on creating more complex sentences with relative and subordinate clauses. In Science, the children got hands on with magnets to fully understand how they work. We conducted an experiment with two magnets and iron fillings to understand and explore magnetic fields.

Year 4 had another great week. Some of the children have started their project on ancient Egypt by building a model of a pyramid. We are hoping to hit the ceiling with it!! The children have been learning how to multiply 2-digit numbers by a 1-digit number. In
Science, they have investigated the different states of matter using water and balloons. Also, the children have been exploring adventure stories, to help them with ideas for when they create their own graphic novels.
