Year One and Two HighlightsBack
It has been another busy week in Year 1! This week we have been busy writing our own innovated story based on ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. In Maths, we have been focusing on Subtraction within 20 using a range of manipulatives. Also this week in Religious Education, we have been learning about the different features of a mosque and discussed the different things that happen within a mosque. Finally, this week in Geography, we learnt many facts about Scotland and Wales.
As part of our topic on Space, the children in Year 2 have been looking at what it takes to survive and be healthy both on Earth and on the ISS. One of the problems that they looked at was how to get food to the astronauts and the process of freeze-drying
food. They then tasted freeze-dried banana, mango and raspberry.
