Reception Highlights

This week Reception have been learning to write a fact file for their own villain characters inspired by the Evil Pea from ‘Supertato’. The children adapted their story map and in particular, we looked at describing appearance, super powers and what our villain likes to do – usually causing mischief! In Maths Reception have been comparing numbers to 10 using a variety of objects. We have been using 10 frames to compare two numbers in quantities to help us see the difference between them. We have continued to revisit and use key maths vocabulary such as ‘equal to’, ‘more than’ and ‘fewer than’ to help us describe the quantities we have been investigating.
