Year One and Two Highlights

This week in Year 1, we have been busy learning about biodiversity. During our Discovery Day, we had the opportunity to carry out some fieldwork to gather how much biodiversity we have at TLAP. We then had to create a design that shows how we would make an area more biodiverse. Also, this week we have been learning our new story ‘Rain’ by Sam Usher.

This week the children in Year 2 spent the whole of Tuesday researching biodiversity at TLAP, presenting their findings and then planning how to improve the school grounds to attract more wildlife. They worked really well as part of a research team for the day with children they wouldn’t normally work with and really impressed all their teachers with how enthusiastically they tackled the tasks they were given.
