Reception Highlights

This week Reception have continued their learning about the environment. We read a story called ‘Clean up!’ which inspired us to go on a litter hunt around the school. We are happy to report that most of our school was clean and we only had to pick up things such as crisp packets and other wrappers that had blown into our environment! Once we had collected the litter, we sorted it into things that we could recycle like bits of paper and things that we could throw away! We discussed the harm littering can cause animals as well as humans. To let others know about our mission to keep our environment clean, we made posters that we have displayed in our classes and corridor area!
