This week, Year 1 have been busy with a range of exciting learning activities. In Maths, they practised measuring objects using a ruler and reading measurements in centimetres. In Art, they focused on shading techniques and observational drawing. In History, they explored the experiences of the Windrush generation, thinking about how people may have felt on their journey to and arrival in England. Finally, in Geography, they learned about different types of weather and the symbols used to represent them.

This week in English, Year 2 have been learning their new text – a fact file about the life and legacy of Mary Seacole. They have been drawing their own text map to help them to learn it and looking at the features so that they can go on to write their own fact files.
