Year Three and Four Highlights

Year 3 enjoyed their full week back with the glorious sunshine. They have started to learn new topics. In Geography they were able to locate Wales on a local and world map. In English- the children learnt all about similes, adjectives, and metaphors. In History the children are starting their new topic of Ancient Greece. In Maths they have finished the topic of volume and capacity and are getting ready for their new topic of fractions.

This week in Year 4, we set goals for ourselves to accomplish in PSHE and discussed how we could achieve them in small steps. In History, we looked at a range of sources and explored what they told us about Boudicca and the Iceni tribe. We pitched ideas in Dragon’s Den, persuading our teachers to do our chosen activity for reward time. In Science, we refreshed our understanding of animal classification including the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates.
