Landmarks, Laughter and Laser Mazes: Year 1 & Year 2

This week, Year 1 were introduced to their new story ‘Katie in London’ and learned about the different landmarks in London. In Maths they learned about and created their own arrays. In Science they started their new topic on animals’ classifications and their diets.

As everyone else left for their half term holiday, a group of secret agents took over the school. Dressed in their pyjamas and armed with their secret identities, the Year 2 children who attended the sleepover took part in a range of activities ranging from solving clues, tackling a lazer-beam maze, and finding out ‘whodunnit’. They then indulged in a midnight snack before settling down in their sleeping bags to watch a movie. Not a lot of sleeping happened but the children had a lot of fun!
