Year 5 & 6: Exploring Stories, History and Geography

This week in reading and writing lessons, Year 5 focused on exploring new vocabulary, character emotions, and story retelling, while Maths lessons covered comparing, ordering, and partitioning numbers up to 1,000,000. The children have really enjoyed their lessons and shown great enthusiasm throughout the week.

Year 6 have had a brilliant week of learning across the curriculum! In English, the children created their own literacy toolkits to help describe settings and brought stories to life through drama. In History, they explored the Tudor feudal system and gained insight into life in the past. Geography lessons focused on reading coordinates and understanding map skills, while in Maths, they began a new topic on addition and subtraction. We are looking forward to another exciting week ahead!
