Year 3 & 4: Stone Age Skills and Ancient Civilisations
Back
This week, Year 3 took part in an exciting Stone Age workshop to support our History topic. We explored how people in the Stone Age used flint to create tools like axes, discovered how they made fire using natural materials, and learned how slings were used to throw and transport objects over long distances. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that really brought our learning to life!
This week in Year 4, we completed a mini unit on character description after working on settings this term. The children showed excellent transference of skills! In many subjects, we finished units with hot tasks to assess learning. Children enjoyed making art to mimic the designs of ancient Egyptian sarcophagi and researching human and physical features of Brazil.
