Back
This week, Year 5 have been engaged in a variety of exciting learning activities. In Reading, the children have been focusing on making inferences and justifying their answers with evidence from the text. During Maths, the children have worked hard on rounding numbers and using inverse operations to solve problems. We also had an insightful lesson in History, where the children explored how archaeological findings shed light on Anglo-Saxon life. Lastly, the class has demonstrated outstanding behaviour, showing great enthusiasm and focus throughout the week.
Year 6 have had a busy and creative week! The children successfully completed their hot task in multiplication and division. They also began exploring fractions through their cold task, laying the groundwork for new learning. In Talk for Writing, the children have been preparing and editing their work, getting ready to tackle their hot task with flair. History lessons brought the Tudor era to life as children designed menus fit for both peasants and royal Tudors, highlighting the differences in their diets. For Black History Month, the children researched traditional African prints and patterns, then used their inspiration to design and create their own vibrant and expressive pieces.
