Nursery & Reception: New Adventures After Half Term!

It’s been lovely welcoming our Reception children back after their first two-week half term! The children have returned much more familiar with their routines and confident in their environment. This week, we began by learning about Diwali, exploring the festival’s bright colours and traditions. The children were also very excited to share their half term adventures and tell us all about the fantastic fireworks they had seen for Bonfire Night!

After a lovely 2 week break, we are back and busy in the Nursery! We have been remembering our old routines and practising our independence. We found a mystery box in the Nursery on Monday, and we had to put our hand inside and feel. We then described what we felt and had a guess at what it could be. Our new story is 'The Squirrels Who Squabbled' by Rachel Bright. We have been reading the story this week and learning about what different words mean.
