Nursery & Reception: Reindeer Visits, Snowy Play, and Campfire Creations!
Back
This week, TLAP had an exciting visit from two reindeer! We were lucky enough to have them with us all day and even got to take a picture with them. We have learnt that humans need to be careful around animals to make sure we don't hurt them by being calm and quiet. To practise this, we took turns stroking the guinea pigs. We loved running around in the snow and trying to catch snowflakes on our tongues and breaking the ice in the playground when all of the water froze.
This week has been full of exciting outdoor adventures! On Monday, we gathered around a cozy campfire, which sparked the children’s interest in creating their own miniature fireplaces in our outdoor area. They worked together with great enthusiasm and creativity. We also had our first snowfall of the season, which the children were thrilled to explore. Our water trays froze overnight, giving the children a wonderful hands-on experience with ice. They were fascinated watching it melt throughout the day and enjoyed discovering how water changes in the cold.
