This week has been full of creativity and learning. In Science, the children explored how weather and temperature affect trees and plants, and they enjoyed painting both evergreen and deciduous trees. In English, they practiced their speaking and listening skills by interviewing each other about how to look after a polar bear. In RE, the children made Christingles and learnt about the importance of light in religion. It’s been a fantastic week!

This week in Year 2, the children have been busy deepening their understanding across the curriculum. In Maths, they used their knowledge of number bonds to add three numbers together and practised adding numbers beyond a ten with growing confidence. Our PSHE lessons focused on respect, compassion and how we can all be good friends to one another. The highlight of the week was a very special visit from the reindeer! The children were fascinated to learn about their diet, their antlers and where they come from. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone.
