Year 1 & 2: Creative Movement, Storytelling and Creativity Across

In PE this term, Year 1 are developing their dance skills. For the last few weeks they have been dancing with streamers and working alongside a partner taking turns to copy each other. This week they became bouncy balls being bounced, thrown and rolled around the hall. They then worked in pairs to come up with a short routine that they performed in unison. They took it in turns to show their performances to the rest of the class.

What a busy half term Year 2 have had! This week they have innovated their story maps to create their own stories with a focus on describing characters and using dialogue. They also perfected their skills in sketching and drawing boats - adding detail using pastels. For Children's Mental Health week, the children discussed what makes them happy - we spoke about having a sense of belonging and how that made them feel.
