Year 3 & 4: rom the Shang Dynasty to Safer Internet Day

This week, Year 3 have been exploring artefacts from the Shang Dynasty period to support their work in history. They also explored and emulated Elizabeth Catlett’s printing of important people in art.

This week in Year 4, the children completed PIXL assessments in Maths, Reading and Grammar. We really admired their perseverance and drive to succeed. On Tuesday, it was Safer Internet Day. The children made posters with top tips for spotting fake news, including identifying when AI had been used. They had a visit from Mr. Saunders, a chief of online security, and his AI robot, to discuss his job and jobs he had done in the past like ethical hacking. It was also Children’s Mental Health week and the children learned strategies to come back to “green zone.”
