Back
This week, Year 5 took part in Children’s Mental Health Week, completing mindfulness activities and reflecting on ways to look after their wellbeing. We celebrated Safer Internet Day by learning how to stay safe online and creating an e-safety display. In English, the children planned, wrote and published their own quest stories, showing great creativity and independence. In Maths, the children solved a range of problem-solving activities and developed their skills in multiplication and measurement.
Year 6 have made it to the end of half term despite the rainy weather, and what a busy and productive few weeks it has been! The children took part in Mental Health Week and Internet Safety Day, where we were delighted to welcome a special guest, Mr Saunders, a cybersecurity expert. He spoke to the children about the importance of staying safe online, being responsible internet users, and understanding the potential dangers of AI. In English, the children showed great creativity by writing their own exciting endings to Agent Fox Adventures. In Geography, they developed their map skills by labelling India’s human and physical features using OS symbols.
