Nursery & Reception: A Week of Imagination, Growing and Planting
Back
Nursery had another busy week this week. We have started reading our new class text, 'Harold and the Purple Crayon' by Crocket Johnson. The book is about a boy who uses his imagination, alongside a purple crayon to draw an imagined world. We have been exploring imagination and what it means to imagine. We have also enjoyed watching our 4 ducklings grow bigger and bigger. We have given them baths, watched them splash in puddles and given them cuddles. We have said goodbye to them as they journey back to their farm today to live with their brothers and sisters!
This week, Reception have been busy exploring planting as part of both our Talk for Writing and Science learning. The children have enjoyed writing instructions for Miss LaTour, helping her to learn how to plant flowers carefully and successfully. In Maths, we have been focusing on 3D shapes, identifying and describing their properties. We are also very excited to be celebrating Comic Relief this week and taking part in the fun activities together
