This week in NJursery we have been learning our new story map, making sure we are using fantastic story telling voices to make the story exciting to listen to. We have also been learning the actions to bring our story to life. We have been enjoying the sun, playing in the reception garden, building mud pies and splashing in water.

This week, the children in Reception designed creative costumes for Mrs Bowen, showing fantastic imagination and enthusiasm. In Talk for Writing, we created a story map based on Greta Thunberg’s biography, helping the children to sequence events and build their storytelling skills. In Maths, we explored tally charts and revisited the concepts of one more and one less to strengthen our number understanding. In Topic, we got creative by making beautiful tulips using PVA glue, soap, and paint—be sure to take a look at them displayed on our classroom windows!
